How Coffee Grounds Work:

According to Get Holistic Health and as per EPA coffee grounds can work as a very reliable natural repellent, which can drive away many insects, including mosquitos, bees and wasps away. Various pests contains a very strong sense of smell, and coffee grounds, which have a strong smelling property when they burn, can drive them insane.

How to Use Coffee Grounds as Mosquito Repellent:

The firs step is to take your used or fresh coffee grounds, and then place them in a bowl and cover with aluminum foil.

You must leave this bowl in a dark, but cool place and let the grounds dry totally. Then, position the coffee grounds, using either a bowl or on a sheet of foil, and place on a flat location outdoors. Lastly, burn the coffee grounds like you would an incense.

If you are indoors and attempting to keep mosquitos out, open your windows. But, if you are using this method at an outdoor event, you can just leave the bowl burning in a central location.

Still lots of mosquitos bothering you? You can add some fresh bay leaves to the coffee gounds and burn them together.
