1. You can combine apple cider vinegar with water and use it on your scalp.
2. Use a small amount on your hair as well.
3. Then wash off and condition once it dries.

2. Baking Soda

This is one of the commonly used home remedies for smelly scalp because it helps neutralize the bad odors and lower oiliness.

How to Use:
1. Mix water and baking soda in a ratio of 1:3.
2. Wet your hair thoroughly and place the baking soda paste on damp hair.
3. Leave on for around at least 5 minutes.
4. Wash your hair.
5. Repeat this procedure at least once per week.

3. Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is great for your hair as well as your skin, and will leave your hair smelling fresh and clean. It will also promote shiny, smooth hair and fight off problems like scalp infections and dandruff.

1. Take a cup of water and dilute juice squeezed from at least two lemons into it.

1. Put fresh tomato juice on your scalp.
2. Leave it for at least 10-15 minutes and then rinse.
3. Do this 1 to 2 times per week.

6. Vodka

Vodka serves as an effective home remedy to eliminate foul odor and remove product build-up from your hair. Also it helps promote hair growth and make your hair shiny and soft.

How to Use:
1. Add one tablespoon of vodka to a 12 to 16 ounce spray bottle filled with water.
2. After shampooing your hair, spray the solution all over your scalp and hair. You don’t have to rinse it out.
