Your body produce less collagen after the age of 25. This often shows up
not just in your weaker joints and bones, but on the face as well.
A lack of collagen leads to wrinkled, sagging and sallow, wrinkled skin. But consumption of collagen daily, helps firm and tone the skin, leaving you with that youthful glowing skin.
Health Benefits of Collagen
Since modern diets are rich in processed carbohydrates, sugar and other other unhealthy foods, most people are dealing with some level of gut issues, mostly from irregularity to IBS.
Collagen is much easily absorbed and perfect for those who struggle with gut issues. It has been shown to improve low stomach aid and strengthen mucosal lining.
Cellulite on the other hand, is caused by a breakdown of collagen. There are many other causes of cellulite, but it has been noted that drinking collagen regularly helps to improve the appearance of the thighs.
Hair and nails are also made up of collagen and like joints and bones, it will naturally become more brittle as you age. This is because of the decrease in collagen production.
