Diabetic rats who were given a dose of about 12gm /day for 1 month reported that curry leaves may treat diabetes by influencing carbohydrate metabolism, improving kidney and liver function. Also, the amazing antioxidant properties of curry leaves can boost pancreatic cell production, thereby improving insulin function.

4. Fenugreek Seeds

Various human intervention trials have shown that fenugreek seeds positively affect metabolic health. Fenugreek seeds have a slightly bitter taste when raw, but, when they are sprouted, the flavor becomes pungently sweet, thereby, adding a unique taste to salads and other foods.

Also, fenugreek seeds may be lightly dry roasted to reduce their bitterness and enhance their flavor.

5. Ground Bay Leaf

The mixture of 1/2 tablespoon ground bay leaf, 1/2 tablespoon turmeric and 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel, when taken twice a day before lunch and dinner, is very helpful to control sugar in blood, thus effective for the problem.
