Why You Should Put Coconut Oil In Your Coffee?

1. Blood Sugar Regulation

Consuming coconut oil helps your cells bind more efficiently to insulin. This means that the entire blood-sugar regulation process is improved. This is important for diabetics, who are at risk of diabetes and those who struggle with blood sugar levels.

2. Boosts Metabolism

If you consume MTCs such as coconut oil, this results in accelerated metabolic conversion. This means that instead of being stored as fat, the calories contained in MCTs are very efficiently converted into fuel, which can be use immediately by the body.

According to the study, researchers assembled 40 female participant between the ages of 20-40 who suffered from abdominal obesity. Over a 12-week study period, the women were given a daily dietary supplement consisting of 30 milliliters of either coconut oil or soybean oil.

At the end of the, the researchers found that the women particpants who were given the coconut oil experienced a significant reduction in both waist circumference and BMI and an increase in “good” HDL cholesterol.

The results were not found in the group that was given soybean oil. It seems that dietetic supplementation with coconut oil does not cause dyslipidemia and seems to promote a reduction in abdominal obesity.

Some people cannot function without a cup of coffee every morning. But coffee does perk the brain up and get your neurons firing.

Adding coconut oil to your caffeine, increases ketone levels in your body, which research has linked to increased or improved cognitive function.

Most people experience a rumbling in their stomach after drinking their cup of coffee. That stimulation of the digestive system is similar to what coconut oil does.

Coconut oil is a natural laxative, which helps increase peristaltic motion in the gut, to move your stool through the system quickly, while also improving your nutrient uptake along the way.

Drinking coffee with coconut oil, can make your coffee more palatable and soothe inflammation in your gut.

5. Boosts Your Immune System

Almost 50% of the fatty acids found in coconut oil is Lauric Acid, which is the healthy fats found in human breast milk. Lauric acid is powerful in antimicrobial properties.

As per WebMD, lauric acid is used for the treatment of viral infections including flu; avian flu; swine flu; fever blisters, the common cold; genital herpes and cold sores. Also, it is use for preventing the transmission of HIV from mothers to children.
