Your parents may have told you that coffee isn’t good for you because it will keep you from growing tall and give you a heart attack. Scrap those ideas because so many researches have identified the numerous positive benefits of coffee to your health due to its loads of antioxidants. In fact, having 2 to 3 cups of coffee a day is very good for you.

Burping

It’s true that burping in public can be offensive. However, there is no reason for you to suppress that burp because letting gas escape through your mouth is good for the digestive tract. Otherwise, excess gas in your stomach may cause the sphincter separating it from the esophagus to relax, causing you to experience the symptoms of acid reflux.

Passing Wind

Allowing gas to pass down there is also just as good for you as burping. Excess gas in the gut is usually caused by swallowed air while you’re eating and drinking. It’s also produced by the action of bacteria in your intestinal tract on food. If you don’t let it escape, it will cause distention of the gut, leaving you with uncomfortable abdominal pain.

This habit is often associated with being bored, disrespectful or inability to focus. People who told you that fidgeting won’t do you good are wrong. Especially if you wish to slim down or maintain your ideal weight, go ahead and fidget. It helps you burn a few excess calories. When trying to lose unwanted pounds, every form of calorie-burning activity counts.

Not Showering Daily

Provided that you don’t smell, feel free to give in to the urge of not stepping foot in the shower. Too much showering can cause excessive skin dryness, especially when you use hot water and soap with strong chemicals. Showering a lot can remove good bacteria on the skin that keep in check the bad ones that can cause various skin conditions.

Sunbathing

Skin cancer and various premature aging signs giving sunbathing a really bad rep. Provided that you do it in moderation and you dodge the sun between 10 am and 4 pm, it’s a good idea to let your skin be touched by sunlight. Aside from giving you a healthy glow, sunbathing also produces vitamin D that lifts your mood and promotes calcium absorption by the bones.
